Computational Neuroscientist in Sensorimotor Control – A number of full-time positions are available immediately in theoretical and computational modeling of sensorimotor control at Brain Corporation, San Diego, CA.

Submit your CV/resume and relevant papers to Dr. Eugene M. Izhikevich, CEO, at [jobs AT braincorporation.com]. In your cover letter, please address at least two of the requirements below.

REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking candidates who are exceptional in two of the following three areas:
(1) practical expertise in robotics, sensorimotor processing, reinforcement learning, or action selection,
(2) solid experience in spiking networks and spike-timing dynamics and plasticity,
(3) excellent programming skills in C/C++, Python or MATLAB.

Of interest are candidates with substantial experience in constructing internal models and motor primitives; in modeling locomotion, reaching and grasping; in modeling biological vision for navigation and control; in modeling the oculomotor system, proprioceptive system, spinal cord, locomotor CPG, cerebellum, basal ganglia,or motor cortex; or in computational or theoretical research in spike coding, spiking network dynamics and plasticity.

The employee compensation package includes a stock option grant, matching 401k retirement contributions and annual performance bonuses.

Computational Neuroscientist (visual system) - A full-time vision neuroscience position is available immediately at Brain Corporation, San Diego, CA at the level of scientist (postdoc), senior scientist (assistant professor), or principal scientist (associate/full professor) to develop a biologically detailed spiking model of the mammalian visual system.

REQUIREMENTS: A successful candidate must have (1) published record of research on spiking networks and spike-timing dynamics, (2) knowledge of the visual system beyond standard textbooks, and (3) excellent programming skills in MATLAB, PYTHON, or C/C++. Preference will be given to those who worked with spiking models of the visual processing.

The employee compensation package includes annual performance-based bonuses, matching 401k contributions, and a stock option grant.

Submit your CV/resume and relevant papers to Dr. Eugene M. Izhikevich at <jobs AT braincorporationcom>. In your cover letter, please address all three requirements.
